The text message program

Sweets by Marielasends a text a few minutes before each drop opens, with a link to that drop's ordering page. That is the whole program — drop announcements and the occasional update about an order you placed.

• Message frequency varies, and depends on how often we bake. Expect a handful of messages a month.
• Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier, not us, may charge you for receiving texts.
• Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can order from a drop without being on the text list.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How you join, and what you agreed to

You join by entering your name and mobile number on our sign-up page. Nobody is added any other way — we do not buy lists and we do not add you because you ordered something. The wording shown above the sign-up button is:

Stopping, restarting, and getting help

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. You will get one confirmation and then nothing further. Reply START to rejoin, or HELP for help. Email us at sweetsbymariela@gmail.com.

Ordering from a drop

• A drop is a pre-order window with a set opening and closing time. Everything is baked to order, in the quantities people reserved.
• Adding something to your cart holds it for a few minutes so you can check out. If you do not finish in that time the hold is released and the item goes back for someone else — quantities are genuinely limited, and a drop can sell out.
• Ordering through this site is not live yet. Card payment, processed by Square, is being wired up. Until it is, a drop page shows what is on the drop and when you could collect it — holding an item does not place an order, and these terms will be updated before ordering opens.
• Orders are for pickup at the time given for that drop. Because everything is made to order, we cannot always accommodate a change or cancellation once baking has started — get in touch as early as you can and we will do what we reasonably can.

Allergens

Everything is made in a home kitchen that handles wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts and soy. We cannot guarantee that any item is free of any allergen. If you have a serious allergy, please ask before you order.

Privacy

What we collect and what we do with it is set out in our Privacy Policy. In short: we never sell or share your information for anyone else's marketing.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top always says when they last changed, and continuing to use the text list or order from a drop after a change means you accept it.
